Russian President Vladimir Putin said Russia-China ties have reached an "unprecedentedly high level" and expressed readiness to work with China to build a more just and democratic world order as he met with Chinese President Xi Jinping in Beijing on Wednesday. Putin is in Beijing for a two-day state visit at the invitation of Xi, which is his 25th visit to China. During talks with Xi at the Great Hall of the People, Putin opened his remarks by quoting an ancient Chinese proverb: “one day apart feels like three years”, to convey his delight at once again meeting with the Chinese president. #putin #xijinping #russia #china
