Operating across Shanghai, Singapore and San Jose, the unit recently presented its first AI generated therapy at a major immunology conference in Boston, targeting protein to protein interactions that conventional pharma has failed to crack for decades. The team also unveiled AnewOmni, a generative AI framework trained on over five million biomolecular complexes, built in collaboration with Tsinghua University. This is happening while ByteDance reported a seventy percent profit decline in 2025, yet continues to pour capital into frontier AI across large language models, video generation and now biotech. The same recommendation engine that captures the attention of one and a half billion users worldwide is now being applied to molecular design and next generation therapeutics.
