This includes direct-to-chip cooling, where a liquid-filled cold plate is mounted directly on the CPU or GPU, and full immersion cooling, where servers are submerged in a non-conductive fluid, offering the highest possible cooling efficiency for extreme-density AI and HPC workloads.

The IT infrastructure solutions are the "brains" of the data center, performing the actual compute, storage, and networking functions. The compute solution is comprised of various types of servers, from general-purpose 1U or 2U rack servers for enterprise applications to high-density, multi-node blade servers and specialized GPU servers designed for AI. The storage solution portfolio is equally diverse, including high-performance all-flash arrays for latency-sensitive applications like databases, hybrid flash/disk systems for a balance of cost and performance, and scale-out object storage systems for storing petabytes of unstructured data like videos and backups. The networking solution provides the connectivity fabric. This includes high-speed top-of-rack switches that connect the servers within a rack, and larger core or spine switches that form the data center's backbone. These solutions are increasingly software-defined, allowing for automated configuration and management, and are designed to provide high-bandwidth, low-latency communication between all elements of the IT stack.

Finally, the management and security solutions provide the orchestration and protection for the entire facility. Data Center Infrastructure Management (DCIM) software is a key solution, offering a centralized platform to monitor and manage both the physical infrastructure (power, cooling, space) and the IT assets. It helps operators optimize energy efficiency, manage capacity, and track assets throughout their lifecycle. Physical security solutions are multi-layered, including perimeter fencing, mantraps at entry points, biometric scanners for access control, and comprehensive video surveillance systems. Fire detection and suppression solutions, often using clean agent systems like Novec 1230 that extinguish fires without damaging electronic equipment, are another critical safety solution. Together, this comprehensive portfolio of power, cooling, IT, management, and security solutions works in concert to create the highly reliable and efficient environments that modern data centers have become.
